Rixton and Warburton Bridge – Bridge Toll Pass 2024
Subject to The Rixton and Warburton Bridge Order (“the Order”) coming into force, The Manchester Ship Canal Company Limited (“MSCC”) is planning to undertake a series of improvement works on the bridge and its approach roads. These improvement works, which include road resurfacing, bridge repainting, carriageway widening (on the approach roads), and the construction of a new footway, are scheduled to commence during the second half of 2024.
During the period of the improvement works, MSCC has undertaken not to collect the toll in respect of vehicles passing over the bridge.
Whilst new Bridge Toll passes will be issued from January 2024, these passes will be valid only until 30 June 2024. Whether there will be a second issue of Bridge Toll passes from July 2024 will depend on when the Order comes into force and the schedule for the improvement works.
Bridge Toll passes valid from 1 January 2024 until 30 June 2024 are now available to purchase via our website for £36 per pass (reduced on a monthly pro rata basis for passes purchased after 31 January 2024). CLICK HERE
However, orders for passes placed before 1 January 2024 will receive an £11 discount for each pass that is purchased. This discount will be applied during the purchasing process.
Whilst we will endeavour to dispatch passes purchased during December 2023 as soon as possible, we do recognize that there may be delays to postal deliveries over the festive season. Therefore, the holders of 2023 Bridge Toll passes will be allowed to use their 2023 passes until 14 January 2024. After this date, 2024 passes must be displayed in vehicle windscreens, or the relevant Toll must be paid at the Toll Gate.
